Ceceila Green

Ceceila Ruth (Brown) Adams Green, 97, passed away on March 2, 2018. Born in Oglethorpe, GA, she was a daughter of Bob Johnson and Pearlie Johnson. She worked as a home health aide and was a 60-year member of Alden Baptist Church, where she sang in the choir. Predeceased by her husband, Alex Green, her sister Earline Ingram, and four children, Lillie Green, Betty Green, Plushia Gaynor and Dorothy Denson, she leaves four children Pearlie Burwell, Savannah Howard, Melvie Green and Freddie Adams; a grandson she raised as a son, Lawrence Shipman; and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, great-great-great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives. The calling hour is 9-10 a.m. Friday at Alden Baptist Church, followed by funeral services at 10
