Thomas Earl Williams, 50, of St. James Ave., departed this life on March 2, 2018. Born in Monroe, LA, he was a 45-year resident of Springfield, where he was a driver for Hulmes Transportation. Mr. Thomas was a big Steelers fan and also loved music, chess, pool, and cards. Pre-deceased by his father, Johnnie Campbell Jr. and great-grandsons Vyndalin Markeas Caldwell Jr. and Vance Mhaleek Caldwell, he leaves his wife, Viola Carter; his mother, Edna Williams-Campbell; three children, Thomas Carter (and Naomi), Quatrice Carter, and Tatianna Williams (and Vyndalin); siblings, Julius Ray Williams, Barry L. Pollard, Pamela Williams, and Jacqueline Williams-Hines; and 12 grandchildren. The calling hour is Thursday 7-9 p.m. at Harrell Funeral Home with funeral services Friday at 11 a.m. at the Shiloh Community Church of God in Christ, 91 Jasper Street, Springfield.
