Amanda Collins

Amanda Lafaye Collins, 45,of Alderman Street, departed this life on Tuesday, May 15, 2018 at Baystate Medical center. She was born in Springfield and remained a lifelong resident. She was the daughter of James Earl Lockett and Betty Collins.  A member of Macedonia Church Of God In Christ, she was a member of the hospitality committee and the First Lady Annual Day Committee.  Singing and cooking were her attributes and Amanda will always be remembered as a wonderful person.  She is survived by her parents and one son Brandon Collins; four brothers Brian Slater, Tommy Collins, Quentin Lockett, and James Collins; two sisters Yvette Slater and Brianna Slater all of Springfield; two grandchildren Sharae and Brandie Collins.  The calling hour is  11 to 12 at Macedonia Church of God In Christ, 233 Tinkham Road followed by the funeral arrangements.
