Benjamin Bowens Sr. Obituary

Benjamin Joseph Bowens Sr., 59, of 44 High Street, Springfield, Massachusetts, departed this life on Thursday, April 11, 2019, at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield.
Born in Guam on March 20, 1960, he was a son of Jose Matabusm and Ruth Cummings. Before moving to Springfield, Mr. Bowens had been employed as a machine operator by GSE Environmental in Houston, Texas. He attended Lighthouse Church Of God In Christ and enjoyed auto repair, art, and music, especially old school R&B. He is survived by his mother, Ruth Cummings of Springfield; a son, Benjamin Bowens Jr. of Springfield; two daughters, Natashia Carter of Haines City, Florida and Brittany Bowens of Houston; two brothers, Artis Cummings and Robert Cummings, both of Springfield; a sister, Zorlett Bowens of Springfield; sixteen grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
