Elijah Parker Sr.

Elijah Parker Sr. 71, of Waldorf St., departed this life on Friday, May 4, 2018, at Baystate Medical Center.  Born in Peachburg, AL, he was the son of Tom Simmons and Emma Parker.  He worked at both Smith & Wesson and Titeflex for many years and was married to the love of his life, Elizabeth Parker, for 44 years.  In addition to his beloved wife, Elijah is survived by three children, Elijah Jr., Ron Addison (Rae Linda), and Najee Austin;  eight grandchildren, Elayiza, Jada, Ronnesha, Ron Jr., Rashaad, Ryan, Rayvon, and Rhonda;  two special nieces, Lolita (Nate) Zellner and Mary (LaVaughn) Hill;  brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Alberta (Harold) Busby, Norma Jean (Johnny) Green, Patricia (Jay) Smith, Robert Barfield, Ida Bea (Fred) Lewis, Wilma (Abe), Hosea (Margerie) Clark, and James Clark.   He was pre-deceased by several siblings.  There will be a funeral celebration of his life at 11 a.m. Saturday
