Helene Denson Obituary

Helene Elizabeth (Bateman) Denson, 80, of Walnut St., departed this life on Saturday, September 1, 2018. Born in Northampton, MA, and raised in Amherst, MA, she was a daughter of Christopher and Clara (Gentles) Bateman. She lived most of her life in Springfield and had been employed as a machine operator for Bridgeport National Bindery and Standard Electric Company. She enjoyed bowling, cooking, taking walks, playing piano, swimming, and outdoor life. Pre-deceased by her husband, Thomas Denson Jr., a son, Ricky Walter, and a brother, Charles Bateman, she is survived by a son, Tyrone (and his wife, Carmaris) Denson; a daughter, Elizabeth “Betty” Denson; two grandchildren, Jared TyAnthony Denson and Jaida Iris Denson; and a host of other relatives and friends.
