Huey Lee Jones, 81, died Sunday, May 6, 2018 at Baystate Medical Center. Huey was born July 10, 1936 in Wisner, LA. He is surived by his wife of 54 years Betty E. (Stovall) Jones, their son Brian Lee Jones, a loving sister Jerry L. Jones (Michael), two grandchildren, a step-son Franklin Webber Jr., (Josephina). Huey graduated in 1954 from Finch High School in Centerville, MS with his friend Rance A. O'Quinn. They relocated to Springfield, Rance in 1954 and Huey in 1955. Huey was a member of the Harmony Lodge No. 140 in Springfield. He was predeceased by his loving mother Classie King Jones, his loving daughter Tiffany Jones Cannion and his younger brother Alkra L. Jones. Huey was employed at Monsanto over 20 years. Upon retirement, he served as a van driver for MLK Jr. Community Center. He also worked part time at Pete's Store. Huey leaves a host of nieces, nephews and in-laws. The calling hour is 11:00 a.m.-noon on Tuesday at St. Mark's CME Church, 6 Dresden St., followed by the funeral at noon with burial in Oak Grove Cemetery.
