James Messious Jiles Jr., of Springfield, MA, passed away at home on Wednesday, June 20, 2018. James attended Springfield Central High School. He was a sports enthusiast, who played football with the Chicopee Braves, and basketball with Atal Connect and RBC. James began his love for music by singing in the MLK Youth Choir. He was in the process of completing his first official mixed tape. James always showed his love for all whom he cared for and was close to. He was a loving son, brother, and father. Pre-deceased by his maternal grandmother, Catherine Rivera, he leaves to carry his legacy, his parents, James Messious Jiles Sr. and Darlene Rivera; his daughter, Amayah Clark, his siblings, Yasmine and Jahmara Coleman, Kativa Stout, Michael Best, Jaylen Jiles, and Madison Heartley; his grandparents, Sandra and Richard Moultrie Jr., Willie James, and Frances Daniels; and a host of extended family and friends. The calling hour is 10-11 a.m. Monday at Trinity United Methodist Church, 361 Sumner Ave., followed by funeral services at 11.
