Jimmie Johnson Sr. Obituary

Jimmie Johnson Sr., 82, of Roosevelt Ave., died on Sunday, April 14, 2019, at Baystate Medical Center. On January 1, 1937, he was born in Brookhaven, MS, a son of C.L. Johnson and Odie Taylor. Pre-deceased by his wife, Dorothy (Wilbert) Johnson, and a son, Jimmie Johnson Jr., he leaves to cherish his memories, three daughters, Cynthia (Johnson) Lovejoy, Jacqueline Johnson-Davis (and Kenneth), and Melissa Bass (and David), all of Springfield. The calling hour is 11 a.m. to noon Tuesday at New Jerusalem Church of God in Christ, 209 Quincy St., followed by the funeral at noon, with burial in Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
