Sharon Davis Obituary

Sharon Leisa Davis, 64, of Springfield, entered Heaven’s gate on Thursday, April 19, 2018. Born in Northampton, MA, she was the daughter of Evangeline (Williams) Davis and the late James Robert Davis Jr. Sharon graduated from the former Classical High School in Springfield, and from Syracuse University School of Journalism. Sharon enjoyed being a journalist. She worked for the Federal Reserve Bank, Nellie Mae, and New England Electric Company, and also did some freelance work for various community newspapers. Sharon loved spending time with her family and friends, doing watercolor painting, collecting art, socializing with her Dining Divas, and visiting Martha’s Vineyard. She is survived by her mother, Evangeline Davis of Springfield; two brothers, Mark R. (and Dorothy Ann) Davis of Boston, MA and Daniel R. Davis of Hudson, MA; a nephew, Jeremy R. Davis of Boston; a niece, Brianna N. Davis of Harrisburg, PA; two aunts, Arnieta Davis of Springfield and Ann Woodrum of Middleton, MA; an uncle, Maceo (and Joanne) Vaughn of Atlanta, GA; and a host of other relatives and friends.
