Walter Milton Williams, 60, of 250 Oak Grove Avenue, Springfield, Massachusetts peacefully departed this life on Friday, November 1, 2019. He was a lifelong resident of Springfield, where he befriended and eagerly assisted many friends and family with various tasks. Walter was the son of the late Clayton and Mozell (Collins) Williams of Easley South Carolina. He was predeceased by 2 sisters: Joyce (Williams) Hill, Yvette Williams. He leaves to cherish his memory his siblings: State Representative Bud L. Williams (Dr. Gloria B.), Clayton, Richard, Paul, and Craig Williams; sisters Lorraine (Williams) and Ladora Williams, all of Springfield. In addition, Walter shared a special bond with former State Representative Raymond L. Jordan and his wife Donna, to whom he referred to as his “dad” and “mom,” and Denise Jordan. Walter also leaves a host of loving nieces, nephews and other relatives. Calling hours will be held on Friday, November 8, from 10:00 -11:00 a.m., immediately followed by the funeral service. Burial will take place in Oak Grove Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Epic Health Service, 78 Capital Drive, West Springfield, MA, in honor of LaTasha Brown., his longtime nurse.
