Annette was born in Springfield, MA, to John W. Davis, Sr. and Annie L. Davis.

She said “I went back to school to learn how to live blind in a sighted world”
She also attended UMass University without walls and received a bachelor's degree in Human Services.
Annette was encouraged by a member of the Commission of the Blind to start a support group and she took it a step further and started a nonprofit organization that would support people that were blind or visually impaired and people in the community that are in need.
The Visionary Club of Greater Springfield was started in 2011.
The Visionary Club of Greater Springfield has helped many people and been a warm place for the blind and visually impaired to fellowship.
She attended Harvest Fellowship Church for over 40 years and she wanted everyone to know that she loved going to church, singing and fellowshipping with the members and her favorite was Sunday school.
She also loved spending time with her family, walking and her favorite pastime was going to the beach.
Annette was predeceased by her husband, Anderson D. Harris, her mom and dad, son Barry, and Sisters Pamela and Charlotte.
She leaves to celebrate her homegoing, her daughter, Stephanie (husband Anthony); her sister, Betty; her brother, John; her grandchildren, Darius, Tyrell, Kevin, Alexandra, Devaughn, and Stephen; her nieces, Tawni, Krystle, Brittany, Chanavea, and Cora; her nephew, John; and great grandchildren, Josiah and Elijah.
