On Sunday, March 12, 2023, Arthur L. Brown went home to meet our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
He was born on November 13, 1936, in Riverhead, Long Island, New York, and was the youngest child of the late Daisy Marie Brown and Richard A. Brown. Arthur was employed by Diamond Match for over 18 years and with Monsanto Chemical Co. for over 10 years, where he retired from. A man full of wisdom, and love for all, full of joy in his heart that was often demonstrated with a heartfelt laugh that filled the room, Art blessed all in his presence.
He was pre-deceased by his wife, Eloise Brown. He was also pre-deceased by his brother, Linwood R. Brown Sr., and two sisters, Bertha Cameron and Mary Spruell. He leaves behind seven nephews, a niece, nine great-nieces, and eight great-nephews (1 deceased), and many friends who will miss him and always love him. He leaves us with a legacy of strong faith, integrity, and the gift to giving and will be truly missed.
The calling hour is 10-11 a.m. Thursday at Canaan Baptist Church of Christ, 1430 Carew Street, Springfield, Massachusetts, followed by funeral services at 11, with burial in Oak Grove Cemetery.
