Barry C. Davis

  Barry Carlos Davis, 37, of Springfield, Massachusetts, departed this life on Saturday, November 5, 2022, in Boston, Massachusetts.

  Born in Springfield, Barry was a son of Annette Davis Harris and Kevin Marshall Slater.  Barry graduated from Putnam High School and attended later completed studies in culinary school.  He was a member of Harvest Fellowship Church.  Barry enjoyed fishing, cooking, and music, especially singing gospel and R&B.

  He is survived by his parents, both of Springfield;  three sons, Ty’Rell Barry Davis, Kevin Anderson Davis, and Devone Edward Davis, and their mother, LaChanda Vasquez, all of Springfield;  a daughter, Alexandria Mykilia Martin of Springfield;  two brothers, Jordan Christopher Slater and Brian Harris of Washington, D.C.;  two sisters, Stephanie Lee Samuels of South Carolina and Lisa Slater of West Springfield;  a grandmother, Annie Lee Davis of Springfield;  and a host of other relatives and friends.

His memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, November 17, 2022, at Harvest Fellowship Church, 761 Sumner Avenue, Springfield, MA
