Calvin Denniston Fearing, 70, of Massachusetts Avenue, Springfield, Massachusetts, departed this life on Thursday, June 8, 2023, at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield. Born in Montego Bay, Jamaica, he was a son of the late Percival Fearing and the late Nelly Duncan Hemmings.
A forty-year resident of Springfield, Mr. Fearing was an automotive mechanic and operated Calvin’s Auto Repair for many years. He was a member of New Hope Pentecostal Church. Calvin is survived by his wife, Thelma (Watt) Fearing; six sons, Nigel, Rhafton, Melroy, Darron, Fitzroy, and Calvin Jr.; four daughters, Jacqueline, Diana, Sophia, and Marsha; four brothers, Garth, Leo, Kingsley, and Milton; three sisters, Lorna, Paulette, and Anita; and a host of other relatives and friends.
The calling hour is 10-11 a.m. Monday at New Hope Pentecostal Church, 364 Central Street, Springfield, MA, followed by funeral services at 11 a.m., with burial in Hillcrest Park Cemetery.
