Calvin Jerome Holley Sr., 54, of Waldorf Street, Springfield, Massachusetts, departed this life on Sunday, October 10, 2021. Born in Quincy, Florida, he was a son of Albert Walker and Virginia (Baker) Holley. Mr. Holley was employed as a construction worker. A renown grill-master, he also enjoyed fishing, shooting pool, and playing cards.
Pre-deceased by his parents, and a brother, Charleston Morris, he is survived by a son, Calvin Jerome Holley Jr. of Holyoke, Massachusetts; two brothers, Victor Morris (and Tracey) and Joe Nathan Holley (and Takisha), both of Springfield; three sisters, Cindy Stovall, Linda Holley, and Cynthia Holley-Lewis (and Samuel Lewis), all of Springfield; two grandchildren, Ja’Zyon Jenkins and Ki’Moni Jenkins, both of Holyoke; an aunt, Lillie Mae Menton-Hill (and Ranzy Hill Sr.) of Springfield; two uncles, Odell Wilder (and Essie) and Dupree Wilder (and Novella), both of Springfield; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other family and friends.
The calling hour is 10-11 a.m. Wednesday at Holy Trinity Church of God in Christ, 57 Bay Street, followed by funeral services at 11 a.m.
