Calvin W Lyons Sr.

Calvin Wesley Lyons Sr.,  77, of Cloran Street, Springfield passed away at Mercy Medical Center on Saturday, February 6th, 2021 .  Born in the burrough of Queens, New York,  on November 28, 1943, Calvin  was a son of Calvin A. Lyons Sr. and Bernice (Laws) Lyons.  He became a Springfield resident in 1980 when he relocated from Hartford, CT.  He was employed as a security supervisor for Cigna Insurance Company for many years and he also designed houses. His favorite hobby was fishing.   Calvin worshipped at True Deliverance Church of God In Christ.  He leaves his beloved wife Stella M. (Cook) Lyons, three sons Michael Lyons and Calvin Lyons Jr. both of Orlando, Florida, Anthony Lyons of Meriden, CT and a daughter Letrisha Lyons of Springfield, MA; two brothers Robert Lyons of Meriden, CT, Richie Lyons of Hartford, CT  and one sister Terri Gordon of Hartford, CT, six grandchildren and one great-grandchild to cherish his memories.  The public is invited to a celebration of Calvin's life today , February 19th at Christian Cathedral at 4 p.m.
