Carolyn M Jackson

Carolyn Michele Jackson, 68, of  200 Kendall Street, Springfield, Massachusetts departed this life on Saturday, October 20, 2018 at Baystate Medical Center. Her life began on Wednesday, June 28, 1950 in Harlem, New York where she was born the daughter of Willie Mae (Parker) Baker and George Dorsey Sr. Carolyn  lived in New York for many years, attending area schools and relocated to Springfield, Massachusetts, 47 years ago. Here in Springfield, she worked as a switchboard operator at the former New England Telephone & Telegraph Company (now Verizon).  She was also a member of Shiloh Community Pentecostal Church Of God In Christ. Preceded in death by her beloved parents George and  Willie Mae and her brother George Jr,   Carolyn leaves to cherish her memory a son Lavenuer, three daughters  Marlene, Melanie and Nicole, six grandchildren Kendra, Keilen, Wendi,  Jenai, Cheyenne, and Anthony and five great-grandchildren, other extended relatives and many friends.   Carolyn was truly loved by all.
