Cecil Garfield Rodriques went home to Jesus on Monday, May 31st, 2021, at age 69.
Cecil was born in Spanish Town, Jamaica to Adina Howard and Ferdinand Rodriques on July 19th, 1951.
Cecil migrated to the United States in 1985. He was a hard-working and punctual man, who worked at the Bradley international Airport for over twenty-five years, never once being late or calling out.
This was the case until the morning of February 6, 2013, when he suffered a heart attack. In October of the same year, he again went into cardiac arrest which ultimately resulted in the installment of a medical device in his chest to help regulate his heartbeat. Over the next six years, his health deteriorated and his heart would stop and restart several times with the aid of this device. On the morning of May 31st however, the Lord saw it fit to take him home.
He left behind his wife of thirty-six years, Grace, one daughter, Marilyn Rodriques, one step-son, Courtney Murphy, four sisters, Evette Scott, Sylvia Hibbert, Valrie Rose Rodriques, and Norma Rodriques; and one brother, Claude Rodriques. He was pre-deceased by two sisters, Phyllis Rodriques and Corrine Rodriques, and one brother, Winston Rodriques. Also left behind are nine grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews, along with many extended family members and friends.
