Charles Bowen Obituary

Charles E. Bowen, 72, of Bristol Street,  known to his family and friends as "Loose Change," passed away at East Longmeadow Skilled Nursing Home on Thursday, June 11, 2020.  Born in Rieglewood, North Carolina, he was of the son of Preston and Addie (Miller) Bowen.  After graduating from East Arcadia High School in Rieglewood, he relocated to Springfield, MA.  His first employment turned into a 44 year life-time commitment at Pratt & Whitney Aircraft where he worked as a machinist until retirement. He enjoyed family and friends and many social activities within the community. 

Charles was predeceased by a brother Ronald Bowen and a sister-in-law Eula Mae Bowen.  He will forever be remembered by his two brothers Perry Bowen, Jerry Bowen (and Carolyn); his sister-in-law Janie; a special loved one, Jean Scott; his beloved only child Antonia (and husband Ivan) Ramsey; a step-son Milton Scott; his grandson Kashawn Jacobs (wife Mylene) and granddaughter Jonet Lendon and two great-grandchildren Kayshawn Jr. and Kaylani Jacobs; several nieces, nephews, other extended family members and many friends to cherish his memory.
