Classie (Fletcher) Ferguson departed this life peacefully on Friday December 2, 2022 at Baystate Medical Center at the age of 82.
She was born on August 15, 1940 to Allen Fletcher Jr and Annie Elizabeth (Webb) Fletcher in Murfreesboro (Christina), Tennessee. She relocated to Springfield, Massachusetts in 1967 with her husband and children.
Mrs. Ferguson attended Rutherford County Tennessee school system and graduated from Holloway High school. During her career, she worked for Electronic Coils Incorporated and Plastic Packaging Corporation as a supervisor until her retirement.
She was a long-time member of Holy Temple Church of God in Christ in Springfield, Massachusetts since 1976. She served as the Church Mother, Usher Board President, assisted the Pastor’s Aide Committee and the Mother’s Board along with Communion Duties.
She enjoyed the love of fashion, and beautiful flowers. One of her great joys was to return home to Tennessee spending time with her extended family. She was the phenomenal mother of two, wife, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was predeceased by her husband, Lawson B. Ferguson, her parents, Allen Fletcher Jr and Annie Elizabeth (Webb) Fletcher, two brothers; Sammie Fletcher and JoeMack Fletcher, three sisters; Annie Lee Ferguson, Clara Bell Smith and twin sister Lassie Newman. Also, to cherish her wonderful memories are her son, Tyrus Ferguson of Springfield, Mass., one daughter, Michelle (Ferguson) Wedderburn of Windsor, Ct., son-in-law Robert H. Wedderburn, two grandchildren, Robert H Wedderburn, Jr., Sherita Wedderburn Gardner (Ian) and one great-grandchild Aaliyah Wedderburn-Drakeford. Also, two brother in-laws, James Ferguson, and Charles Ferguson; two sister in-laws, Faye Ferguson and Pam Ferguson.
She also leaves behind many nieces, nephews and a host of relatives and friends to cherish her memory.

The calling hour is 10-11 a.m. Wednesday, December 14, at Macedonia Church Of God In Christ, 215 Tinkham Road, Springfield, Massachusetts, followed by funeral services at 11 a.m.
