David W. Fernandez

  David Wayne Fernandez, 64, of Jefferson Avenue, Springfield, Massachusetts, departed this life on Monday, December 11, 2023, at Mercy Medical Center in Springfield.  Born in Hartford, Connecticut, he was a son of Ernest Fernandez and Anetha (Jackson) Fernandez. 

  A sixty-year resident of Springfield, Mr. Fernandez was an expert concrete finisher.  He enjoyed playing pool and eating.  He was a hard-working, go-getter, who was a good parent and provider.  Beloved by many, he is survived by two sons, David W. Miller of Springfield and Cortney Jeffers of South Hadley, Massachusetts;  a daughter, Connie Crosbey of Springfield;  a brother, Eddie Hernandez of Holyoke, Massachusetts;  a grandson, Dyante Duke;  and a host of other relatives and friends.

His calling hours are 10 a.m. until noon on Saturday, January 6, 2024, at Harrell Funeral Home, 355 St. James Avenue, Springfield, Massachusetts.
