Dorothy M. Franklin

  Dorothy Marie (Lockett) Franklin, 85, of Oak Grove Avenue, Springfield, Massachusetts, departed this life on Monday, March 18, 2024, at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield. 

  Born in Leflore County, Mississippi, she was a daughter of the late John Lee Lockett and the late Rosie (Young) Lockett.  A twenty-five year resident of Springfield, Dorothy was a Church Mother of Macedonia Church Of God In Christ.  She is survived by three sons, Eddie (and Trenise) Stokes of Orlando, Florida, Samuel (and Deloris) Stokes of Apopka, Florida, and Booker T. Cobbins of Louisiana;  three daughters, Hurley Kimbrell, Linda Cobbins, and Michelle Franklin, all of Orlando;  two brothers, Robert Lockett Sr. and Henry Lockett, both of Springfield;  four sisters, Rosemary Lockett, Martha Lockett, Joanne Simmons, and Ramona Robinson, all of Springfield;  thirty-seven grandchildren;  many great-grandchildren;  two great-great-grandchildren;  and a host of other relatives and friends.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, March 29, 2024, at Macedonia Church of God In Christ.
