Duane A. Wilmont

  Duane Anthony Wilmot, of Springfield, MA, died unexpectedly on May 15, 2022 in Brockton, MA.

  Duane is survived by his four daughters: Nyashia Wilmot, Jazorah Wilmot, Carter Wilmot & Irrodesa Wilmot, his mother Deirdre Slocumb, his siblings, Krystal (Carlos) Bravo, Erika Slocumb, Michaela Douglas, and Joél Fraser.  Duane also leaves to cherish his memory a host of aunts, uncles, a niece, nephews, cousins, and friends to mourn his passing.

  Born March 9, 1989, in Springfield, MA to Deirdre Slocumb and Mark Wilmot.  Duane was a graduate of the the High School of Commerce and attended Holyoke Community College. Duane worked many years in Shipping & Logistics. 

  Duane was a devoted father who will be remembered for the love he had for his children. He will also be remembered for his humorous personality and ability to make people smile.  Duane was a protector, someone his friends looked to for advice or simply someone to talk to.  Duane was always there for the people that he loved, going above and beyond to make sure that he was there to help in a time of need.  Duane also had a love for Math and Engineering and will be remembered for his natural ability to know these subjects.  Duane enjoyed playing basketball, running track, and spending time with close friends that he considered family.

  Our son, brother, nephew, father and friend has left this earth to join some of his closest loved ones, his grandmother Sophia E. Jeffery, father Mark A. Wilmot, brother, Marcus N. Wilmot and Uncle, Jeffrey H. Hamilton.

Duane will be sadly missed and joyfully remembered forever by all.
