Eddie Levy Jr.

  Eddie Levy Jr., of Springfield, Massachusetts, departed this life on Thursday, May 18, 2023.  Born in Greenville, Mississippi, he was a son of Eddie Levy Sr. and Everlee (Harrison) Levy. 

  A 55-year Springfield resident, Mr. Levy worked in machine maintenance for the H.P. Hood Ice Cream Company.  He was a former boxer. 

  Pre-deceased by his parents, a brother, Edward Levy, a sister, Dorothy Levy, and a step-daughter, Michelle Townsend, he is survived by his wife, Gwendolyn Delores (Finney) Levy of Springfield;  a daughter, Maryum Levy of Springfield;  two brothers, James Levy of Springfield and Willie Levy of Mississippi;  four sisters, Mary Lee, Betty Ann, Velma Ross, and Bobbie Ann, all of Mississippi;  eight grandchildren;  nine great-grandchildren;  and a host of other relatives and friends.

The calling hour is 10-11 a.m. Friday, June 2, at Harrell Funeral Home, followed by funeral services at 11, with burial in Oak Grove Cemetery.
