Edward Woods

Edward "Eddie" Woods, 70, of Bronx, NY, departed this life on March 12, 2018. Born in Tuskegee, AL, he was a son of the late Jimmie Lee Scott and Willie D. Woods. In New York, he joined the Excavators Union Local 731 and retiring after 25 years. Eddie enjoyed singing in his church choir, spending time with his family and friends. He was a big New York Yankee fan. He is predeceased by his partner Marcia Hill, five brothers, Nesby Woods, James Earl, Jimmy L Sanford, Lonnie Sanford, and Johnathan Thomas, a sister, Geraldine Woods, and two children, Tracey Johnson and Edward Woods Jr. He leaves, ten sisters, Beverly Green, Atlane Woods, Mary Harrison, Alice Shepherd, Doris Sanford, Cassandra Sanford, Earnestine Sanford, Jackie Nesbitt, Kim Tyson, and Erma Sanford; two brothers, Larry Woods and Harold Woods; six children, Brian (Shauna) Tolbert, Jason M. Woods, DeAndrea Burgess, Blake M. Woods, Edwin W. Woods, and Edwina D. Woods; 11 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; a bestfriend/sister, Shirly Bowe; and a father figure/friend, Ralph Cassidy.
