Obituary

Emma Lee (Nelms) Hull-Webster, 76, of Springfield, Massachusetts, departed this life on Sunday, February 12, 2023, at Chapin Center Nursing Home in Springfield.  Born in Opelika, Alabama, she was a daughter of the late John Nelms and the late Mae Ruby (Reese) Nelms.

Emma moved to Springfield three years ago from Virginia, where she had been employed as a Registered Nurse at a hospital.  Emma was a proud and loving mother of two sons.  She spent most of her life in Virginia and enjoyed every phone call or visit she could get from her children.  She also loved to travel.  During those travels, she completed nursing school in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.  Helping others was one of her many passions.  Emma was also a devoted servant of God and loved to spread his word.  Her earthly candle may have been extinguished but her light will shine bright in the heavens in the presence of God.  She will be missed by all that knew her.

She is survived by her husband, Roger Hull-Webster of Lorton, Virginia;  two sons, Darryl Rosemond Sr. and Gary Rosemond;  two sisters, Johnnie Mae Little of Springfield and Ruby Ford;  five grandchildren, Chrissia Oates, Kendra Rosemond, Darryl Rosemond Jr., Keywanda Murphy, and Malik Rosemond;  eight great-grandchildren;  and a host of other relatives.

The visitation is 1 to 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, February 22, 2023, at Harrell Funeral Home, followed by a period of personal reflections, with burial in Oak Grove Cemetery.
