Emmett Pullum Jordan, 60, known to family and friends as "Tim", "Timmy", “Big Tim”, and "The Picture Man", departed this life on August 18, 2023, surrounded by his loving wife and children.
Emmett Jordan, gifted to the world by his parents, John Otis Jordan and Cassandra S. Usher, on June 22nd, 1963, lived in the city of Philadelphia until the age of 5 and then relocated to Springfield which became his permanent home. Emmett graduated from the Technical High School of Springfield in 1981 and attended Temple University. He grew up to be a hardworking and ambitious man, starting off his journey to success with becoming the founder of Jordan's Photography World. He had a passion for taking pictures, capturing precious moments for thousands of people. Once his dedication to photography came to a rest he then committed to his primary career as a property owner and he managed all his properties with excellence. Even though he consistently managed his property, he also worked for the school department even after his retirement. Emmett was a man who always stayed busy, always putting his best foot forward regardless of the many challenges he had to face. He was an avid sports fan who enjoyed watching football and basketball after a hard day's work. And on some days he loved to go fishing and bowling with his wife and children.
Emmett loved God and was dedicated to being a committed member at Revival Time Evangelistic Center for over 15 years. He was also a member of the Raymond Jordan Senior Center and loved to have lunch and spend time there with the family. He also valued attending family picnics and barbeques and was everyone's favorite nephew and cousin. Emmett was a giver and would help anyone he could. He was a devoted husband, loving father/ grandfather, hard worker, kind and giving. He will always be remembered for his deep dimples and that beautiful smile.
Emmett is predeceased by his father, John O. Jordan, his mother, Cassandra S. Usher, his brothers, Darrell Hall, John O. Jordan Jr., David Jordan, and John W. Jordan "Flash". He leaves to cherish his memories, his loving wife of 20 years, Morris (Eve) Jordan; two sons, Emmett (Isaiah) Jordan and Ave; two daughters, Genesis (Gigi) Jordan and Somur; three grandchildren, all of Springfield; his brother, Daniel Hall of Philadelphia, PA; three sisters, Joanne Steward of Chicago, IL, Joyce McDowell of Springfield, and Joanne (Jo) Jordan Morah of NJ; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles and friends.
A viewing will be held from 10:00-11AM on Wednesday, September 6, 2023, at Revival Time Evangelistic Center, 116 Florence St., Springfield, MA, with a Homegoing service at 11:00 AM.
