Obituary
Mr. Ernest Alexander Byrd, 80, of Wilbraham, passed away on Tuesday, April 25, 2023 at Baystate Medical Center.
Born in Oxford, North Carolina, the son of Nannie Lee Byrd, Ernest had happily called Western Massachusetts his home for the past 70 years working as an assembler for both Milton Bradley and Hasbro Corporation. During his leisure time and retirement, Ernest enjoyed basketball, fishing, billiards and spending time with family and friends. He will be sadly missed by his wife of 47 years Elizabeth, son Nathan Byrd and daughter Christa Byrd all of Wilbraham, and daughters, Trina Byrd and Delema "Missy" Byrd and son Ernest Byrd Jr. all of Springfield. He also leaves behind numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
