Garrison Pollard Sr.

  Garrison Pollard Sr., 81, of Holyoke, MA, departed this life on Tuesday, January 20, 2026, at Holyoke Medical Center.

  Born in Acme, North Carolina, he was a son of the late Timothy Pollard and the late Eather Graham.  Garrison had been employed as a mechanic by Western Massachusetts Electric Company.  A member of Mother Franklin Prayer Temple, he served as Head Deacon and First Gentleman.  He enjoyed being a handyman, fixing everything that people asked, cooking, and playing the electric bass.

  Garrison is survived by his wife, Pastor Glenda Pollard;  six sons, Barry Pollard, Gary E. Pollard, Garrison Pollard Jr., Joel Pollard, Joseph Pollard, and Nathaniel Pollard;  six daughters, Bridget Pollard, Evon Pollard, Ronyuana Pollard, Lilly Pollard, Deborah Pollard, and Jael Pollard;  a brother, Robert Pollard;  four sisters, Helen Pollard-Lacewell, Adalaid Pollard, Azalie Pollard-Graham, and Laura Pollard-Vickson;  ten grandchildren;  six great-grandchildren;  and a host of other relatives and friends.

The calling hour is 10-11 a.m. Friday at Dr. Mother E. Franklin Prayer Temple C.O.G.I.C., 631 South Street, Holyoke, MA, followed by funeral services at 11, with burial in Forestdale Cemetery in Holyoke.
