George Clement Lamb, 78, of Oak Street, departed his earthly home on Saturday, August 7, 2021, at Baystate Medical Center. Born in Garland, North Carolina, he was the 8th of 9 children of William Stewart Lamb Jr. and Margaret (Robinson) Lamb. A 50-year Springfield resident, he was a carpenter and house remodeler. George was a member of Harmony Lodge #140 I.B.P.O.E. of W., and enjoyed fishing, hunting, and family travels.
Pre-deceased by his parents, two children, Tracy Lamb and Preshes Lamb, and seven siblings, Ralph Lamb, Coley Lamb, Buddy Lamb, Geneva Ellis, Alma Robinson, Claretta Williamson, and Gertrude Lamb, he is survived by his wife, Patricia (Roberts) Lamb of Springfield; a son, Eric Lamb of Florida; five daughters, Margaret Lamb of Newburgh, New York, Darla Lamb, Georgeanna Lamb, and Crystal Lamb, all of Springfield, and Alycia Lamb of St. Thomas, Virgin Islands; a sister, Rev. Dr. Shirley Rich-Baggett of Godwin, North Carolina; 32 grandchildren; and 50 great-grandchildren.
The calling hour is 11 a.m.-noon Friday, at Bethany Assembly of God, 580 Main St., Agawam, MA, followed by funeral services at noon, with burial in Oak Grove Cemetery.
