Gregory E. Brown Jr.

  Gregory Eugene Brown Jr., 36, of Mill Street, Springfield, Massachusetts, departed this life on Thursday, November 2, 2023, at his home. 

  Born in Springfield, he was a son of Josephine Sandra (Wilson) Gabbidon and Gregory Eugene Brown Sr.  Gregory graduated from Springfield Schools and had worked as a clerk at Savers.  A former member of Faith Baptist Church and Friendship Missionary Baptist Church, he joined Smyrna Missionary Baptist Church where he became a Deacon and Minister.  Gregory was a former member of Boy Scout Troop 35 and enjoyed music and art. 

  Besides his parents, both of Springfield, he is survived by a brother, William Pittman Jr. of Massachusetts and a sister, Ebony D. Wilson Prescott of Springfield;  a host of other relatives;  and many friends.

The calling hour is 10-11 a.m. Friday, November 17, 2023, at Harvest Fellowship Church, 761 Sumner Avenue, Springfield, MA, followed by funeral services at 11 a.m., with burial in Oak Grove Cemetery.
