Gwendolyn H. Inniss

  Gwendolyn Hyacinth (Mayers) Inniss, 90, of Springfield, MA, departed this life on Thursday, June 18, 2026, at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield.

  Born in St. Joseph, Barbados, she was a daughter of the late Oscar Mayers and the late Iris (Goodman) Mayers.  A forty-year resident of Springfield, she was a generous, hardworking, passionate, detailed, and fiercely independent woman.

  Pre-deceased by her husband, Edgar Inniss, three brothers, Henry, Goldbourne, and Basil, six sisters, Doris (Velda), Louise, Elra, Dorothy, Marie, and Stella, she is survived by her daughter, Pamela Chofooklun;  a sister, Gloria Watson;  three grandchildren, Jason, Teneille, and Brandon;  five great-grandchildren, Naiely, Jayden, Jaycob, Isaiah, and Noah;  numerous nieces and nephews;  and a host of other relatives and friends.
