Hodari L. Johnson

  Hodari Lusimba Johnson, 42, of Springfield, Massachusetts, departed this life on Sunday, March 1, 2026. 

  Born in Atlanta, Georgia, he was a son of Yulonda Johnson and the late Larry Herbert Walton Sr.  Hodari lived in Springfield for the last five years and was a retired store manager.

  He is survived by his wives, LaQuinta Nichole Johnson and Deliah Johnson;  his mother, Yulonda Johnson Sadler;  two sons, Hodari Lusimba Johnson Jr. and Malachi Emmanuel Johnson;  five daughters, Tanayah Amoni Johnson, Melani L.O. Johnson, Sarai Ariel Johnson, Chanel Lailah Grant/Johnson, and Amari Johnson;  brothers including Gabriel Emmanuel Johnson and O’Ryan H. M. Sadler;  a sister, Princess Walton;  a granddaughter, Mo”ryah Sadler;  an aunt, Anna V. Johnson;  his grandmother, Vermale Johnson;  his partner, Kathy Vargas;  his best friend, Bully Vargas;  an uncle, Lester Johnson;  a brother, Larry Walton Jr.;  and a host of other relatives and friends. 

Funeral services were private.
