James H. Foy Sr.

Beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend James Henry Foy Sr., 77 of Springfield, MA was called home to be with the Lord on Thursday February 25, 2021. He was born on February 14, 1944 in Roper, North Carolina to the late Clara Davenport-Harris and Alexander Foy.

James is a long-time resident (since 1958) of Springfield, Massachusetts where he met and married his loving wife, Irene Eady (Foy) on November 8, 1969. He worked for Milton Bradley/Hasbro for over 35 years until retirement and was rewarded for his service.  James also worked at STCC as a shuttle bus driver for 13 years. 

James is a man of strong faith and is a former member of Whole Truth Church of God in Christ. He loves listening to Gospel music in his spare time. He is also quite the movie buff.  

Predeceased by his parents, Clara Davenport-Harris and Alexander Foy, and one sibling, William Harris Sr, James is survived by his spouse of over 51 years, Irene Foy; children, Jeanna Akins (Craig) of Bristol, CT, James Timothy Clemmons of Virginia, Karen M. Griffin of Charlotte, NC, James H. Foy Jr. (Janina) of Springfield, MA, and Jessica R. Rickerson of Mooresville, NC; grandchildren, Lia Warrick, James Robert Foy, and Aaron Foy all of Springfield, MA, Derrick Sutton Jr. and Corey Sutton both of Charlotte, NC, Jayden Rickerson and Destini Rickerson both of Mooresville, NC; great-grandchildren, Adalyn Sigler, Giahna Warrick, Ermias Eberhart, Symiah Foy, and Siarra Foy all of Springfield, MA; and one sibling Kamari Allah of Florida.
