James Michael Rickson, 65, of West Springfield, Massachusetts, departed this life on Tuesday, December 2, 2025, at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield.
Born in Springfield, he was a son of the late John H. Rickson and the late Patricia M. (Sullivan) Rickson. James graduated from the former Springfield Technical High School and enlisted in the U.S. Army. Following 9-11, he returned to serve again. James worked as a plumber, was a member of Meadows Lodge of Masons in East Longmeadow, Massachusetts, and was an avid Harley Davidson rider, riding with the Knuckle Heads for many years.
Pre-deceased by a sister-in-law, Laurie Rickson, he is survived by his wife, Priscilla J. (Williams) Rickson; two sons, Eugene (and wife, Amber) Andino and Rueben (and wife, Sandra) Andino; a daughter, Gwendolyn (and husband, Luis) Serrano; a brother, John Henry Rickson; a sister, Jennifer M. (and husband, Steve) Leet; nine grandchildren, Edward, Jadin, Xavier, Talia, Jocelyn, Alexander, Alexis, Chasitee, and Fenix; five great-grandchildren, Issabella, Octavia, Victor, Jailiena, and Jordyn; three nieces, Lindsey, Patrisha, and Katlan; a host of other relatives; and many friends.
The calling hour is 11 a.m. to noon on Thursday, December 18, at Harrell Funeral Home, followed by funeral services at noon, with burial at the Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Agawam.
