James Robinson Jr.

  James Robinson Jr., 77, of Villa Parkway, Springfield, Massachusetts, passed away on Monday, December 2, 2024, at his home.

  He was born in Harperville, Mississippi, the son of James Robinson and Ora Lee (Handford) Robinson.  Mr. Robinson served his country as a Vietnam veteran in the United States Air Force.  He worked for many years in Concord, Massachusetts, for the Nuclear Metal Company.  He was a member of United Temple Church of God In Christ and Macedonia Church of God In Christ.  James was also a Shriner in Suez Temple #114, a member of Elks Lodge #140, a Mason in the Prince Hall Grand Lodge # 459 and Richard Allen Lodge #30.  He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his beloved wife, Rebecca A. Robinson;  a daughter, Wendy A. Robinson;  two step-daughters,  Sheril D. Cooley and Philishia N. Cooley;  and three grandchildren Shekayla, Lae’ja, and Sheyanne. 

The calling hour will be Tuesday, December 17, 2024, at Harrell Funeral Home from 5-6 p.m.   Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, December 18, at Macedonia C.O.G.I.C., 213 Tinkham Road, Springfield, MA, followed by interment at the Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Agawam.
