Obituary

  John Gibbons, 66, of Feeding Hills, Massachusetts, departed this life on May 2, 2023.  Born in Newark, New Jersey, he was a son of Donald Gibbons and Edith (Fumby) Gibbons.  Mr. Gibbons received Bachelor of Arts and Master of Science Degrees from American International College.  John served the Commonwealth of Massachusetts for over 30 years as a State Police Officer.  He was appointed the United States Marshal for Massachusetts by President Barack Obama. 

  Mr. Gibbons is an Elder of Martin Luther King Jr. Community Presbyterian Church.  He is survived by his wife, Shelby Robyn Hall-Gibbons of Feeding Hills;  his son, Jonathan C. Gibbons, a Delaware State Police Trooper;  his brother, Ronald Gibbons;  two sisters, Pamela Winston and Donna Beadoin;  and two grandchildren, Mia Gibbons and Jaxson Gibbons. 

The calling hour is 10-11 a.m. Thursday, May 25, 2023, at Springfield Symphony Hall, followed by funeral services at 11 a.m.
