John Green III

  John Calvin Green III, 53, of Holyoke, Massachusetts, departed this life on  April 21, 2023, at Holyoke Medical Center. 

  Born in Springfield, Massachusetts, he was a son of John C. Green Jr. and Patricia Ann (Charles) Green.  An area resident for most of his life, John had been employed as a chef and loved gospel music.  He is survived by his mother, Patricia Green;  two sons, John Green IV of Springfield and Calvin Green;  three daughters, Jasmine Green of Peoria, Illinois, Makela Green of Springfield, and Sharonda Green of Utica, New York;  two brothers, Kevin Green and Marques Green, both of Springfield;  a sister, Araine Still of Springfield;  ten grandchildren;  and a host of other relatives and friends. 

The calling hour is 10-11 a.m. Tuesday at Harrell Funeral Home, followed by funeral services at 11 a.m., with burial in Oak Grove Cemetery
