John L. Richard

John Lee Richard of Feeding Hills, MA, passed away peacefully on Monday, May 10, 2021. A son of Alice E. (Collins) Richard, and the late Donald L. Richard Jr., John attended Springfield schools, worked for New England Motor Freight, and was a member of Holy Name Church. He had been a Life Scout while in Boy Scout Troop 49. He enjoyed karate, cooking, hiking, and most of all fishing trips. John leaves his mother, Alice Richard of Springfield; a brother, Donald L. Richard III; his “adopted” siblings, Norman Gosselin, James Stinson, and Debra (Gosselin) Miller; and twelve aunts and uncles. He was pre-deceased by nine aunts and uncles. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Forest Park Zoological Society, P.O. Box 80295, Springfield, MA 01138 or Cops and Bobbers, c/o Elks Lodge #61, 440 Tiffany St., Springfield, MA 01108. The calling hour is 10-11 a.m. Thursday at Harrell Funeral Home, followed by funeral services at 11.
