Joyce Brown

Joyce Iola (Williams) Brown, 80, of Rochelle St., passed away on Friday, April 2, 2021 at Baystate Medical Center.  Born in Southwick, Joyce was the daughter of Richard Williams and Hazel D. (Phillips) Williams.  She was proud of her African American and American Indian heritage.  A lifelong New Englander, she retired from many years at The Holiday Inn.  Predeceased by her parents,  husband James Kenneth Brown, Sr. and four of her children Cynthia A. Brown, James K. Brown Jr., Lennie L. Brown Sr., and Joyce K. Brown Williams,  she leaves the following legacy:  her children Terrell H. Brown Sr. , Christy H. Brown Robertson, Kim A. Brown, Destiny L. Robertson, Ashley I. Carter and Lillian Brown all of Springfield, MA; 22 grandchildren in Springfield and Ohio and 59 great-grandchildren and her beloved sister Hazel Elizabeth (Williams) Crump to cherish her memory.  There will be a private service to honor Joyce's life.
