Kadijah Nadir

Kadijah Nadir, 59, a lifelong resident of Springfield, MA, departed this life on Sunday, April 19, 2020, after an illness.  The daughter of Essie L. (Armstrong) Thaxton and the late Osborne G. Thaxton came into this world on February 5, 1961.  She was educated through the Springfield School System and graduated from The High School of Commerce.  Kadijah was employed as a Business Support Analyst at Monarch Life Insurance Company for 41 years.  In addition to her father, she was predeceased by her brother, Anthony L. “Tony” Davies.  Kadijah’s legacy includes her beloved mother, Essie L. Thaxton;  a brother, Robert V. Thaxton (Jeanette) of Charlotte, NC;  sisters, Tairah Shah of Carrollton, TX, Tamerlane Thaxton-Harris of Rhome, TX, Benita Thaxton of Hartford, CT, and Terekah Thaxton of Springfield, MA;  her beloved nephew, Lawrence Kenyatta Robie II, of Springfield, MA;  her beloved grand-niece, Nadia Jihan Shah of Southaven, MS;  aunts;  and a wealth of cousins, nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.  Special mentions go to cousin David Thaxton of Springfield, MA, and her life-long friends Wendy L. Tolbert of Springfield, MA and Helen D. Johnson of Stone Mountain, GA, for their unwavering support and love during Kadijah’s illness.  As we respond to the exigencies of the Corona Virus Pandemic, a memorial service to honor Kadijah’s life will be announced in the near future.  In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation in her honor to The ALS Association, PO Box 37022, Boone, IA 50037-0022.
