Kate Elizabeth Irwin, 47, of Olney Avenue, Springfield, Massachusetts, departed this life on Saturday, February 3, 2024.
Born in York, Pennsylvania, she was a daughter of Joseph William Irwin Jr. and Bernadette (Territo) Irwin. Ms. Irwin was raised in Timonium, Maryland, graduated from Dulaney High School in Timonium and received a BS degree from Towson University in Towson, Maryland. She had been a Springfield resident for the past eighteen years and was employed as a payroll manager for Charles River Laboratories. She also worked at the Hilton Garden Inn in Springfield and loved being a Mom and cooking.
She is survived by her parents, both of Timonium, Maryland; two children, Mia Jane Brown and Larry Malo Brown, both of Springfield; a sister, Sarajane Irwin of Towson, Maryland; her former partner, Malo Brown (and wife, Kellie) of Springfield; a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives; and many friends.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, February 9, at Harrell Funeral Home. Visitation will begin at 10 a.m.
