Kevin Lamont Partridge Sr. was born in Springfield, Massachusetts, on February 22, 1971. He lived most of his life in Springfield but resided in Arizona and Maryland for a while.
“Kev”, as he was fondly referred to by many, was considered by most to be fun-loving, and was known to have a comedic side. Making people laugh made him happy. He was also known for his culinary skills, and often made special dishes for family and friends. He was a reliable hard worker, employed with the United Parcel Service.
He departed this life, unexpectedly, on Sunday, January 9, 2022. He leaves to cherish his memory, his mother, Paris Partridge of Springfield and his father, Michael Collins of Florida. He leaves three children to cherish his memory, Tiffany Partridge of Springfield, Kevin Partridge Jr. of Cambridge, Maryland and Shani Mitchell, Springfield; three brothers, Eric Collins (and Lavette) of Bloomfield, Connecticut, Tyree Holmes of Atlanta, Georgia, and Christopher Williamson of Springfield; three sisters, Alice Collins of Baltimore, Maryland, Sonia Collins of Hartsville, South Carolina, and Tarra Collins of Springfield; three grandchildren; and a host of close cousins, relatives, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Mattie Partridge, whom he lovingly called “Mama”, and his son, Shavon “Tank” Maurice Kelly.
Kevin will life forever in the hearts of his family and his friends.
The calling hour is 11 a.m. to noon on Tuesday at Progressive Community Baptist Church, 599 State Street, Springfield, MA, followed by funeral services at noon.
