Lashar Terrell Garner Sr., 38, of Wilmington Avenue, Springfield, Massachusetts, departed this life on January 5, 2022, at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield. Born in Springfield, Lashar was a son of Alvin Edwards and Linda Garner. He attended Springfield schools and enjoyed music, dancing, riding motorcycles, spending time with family and friends, and making people laugh.
Pre-deceased by his parents, a son, Lashar Garner Jr., and a sister, Kimberly Ingram, he is survived by four children, Ianas Garner, Sanai Hale, Naiya Torres, and Laila Torres, all of Springfield; four brothers, Jamal Edwards of Chicopee, Massachusetts, and Bakish Edwards, Terrell Brown, and Tanashe Edwards, all of Springfield; a sister, Tanisha Garner of Springfield; a brother-in-law, Anthony Summers; three nieces, Candice Higgins, Tionne Summers, and Khayani Smith; and a host of other relatives and friends.
The calling hour is 10-11 a.m. Friday at Mt. Zion Baptist Church, 33 Oak St., followed by funeral services at 11.
