Lemonth Tyson

Deacon Lemonth Tyson, 60, of Wallace St., departed this life on May 13, 2020.  Born in Farmville, NC, he was a son of Fred Lee Tyson and Dorothy (Edwards) Tyson.  A Springfield resident since 1991, Lemonth served as Chief Deacon and Vice President of the Men’s Department at Holy Redeemer Cathedral Ministries.  He was a self-employed carpenter and was known for producing great ribs at Tyson’s Rib Shack.  Pre-deceased by his parents, and three siblings, Deacon Tyson leaves to celebrate his homegoing, his wife, Barbara (Walter) Tyson;  five children, Cassie Tyson, Cornelius Tyson, Dorcas Tyson, Isha Tyson, and Lamont Tyson;  two step-children, Malissa Naylor and Toren Byers;  seven grandchildren;  and a host of other relatives
