Leroy Mock III, 34 of Springfield entered eternal rest on Wednesday May 26th, 2021 at Baystate Medical Center.
He was born to LeRoy Mock Jr and Cheryl Mock on December 7, 1986 in Springfield Massachusetts. He was born and raised in the church. The oldest child of Leroy Jr, he was the leader of the pack, and succeeded at anything he put his mind to do. Leroy was a product of the Springfield School system, graduating from Central High School in 2005.
Likened unto his namesake, his predeceased grandfather, LeeRoy Sr. He was one of the hardest working people you could ever meet. He cared deeply for his friends and family, always going above and beyond to support in any way he could! He was most recently employed at Advanced Auto Parts where he was a manager for the day shift and his co-workers loved him dearly!
He was an avid sports fan. Always bragging about his teams. A committed fan of the Dallas Cowboys from the start of football season, while rooting for the LA Lakers during the basketball season. While he may not have been the most talkative person, mention his teams and you couldn’t shut him up!
He will be most remembered for being a great lead driver, if he went somewhere once, he could remember where to go. He loved road trips with his family who was always first in his life. Loved by his coworkers and known for never judging, or asking questions but if you needed him, he would come through with no questions asked! A person who when he recognized his mistakes, took the time to fix it and move on. He took advice from his Grandma which consisted of “go home to family, be there for your family and fix your home.
He was predeceased by his grandfathers: LeeRoy Sr, and Willie Alston, his grandmother, Barbara Alston, his younger brother, Rayshawn Mock. He is survived by his parents, Leroy Jr. and Cheryl Mock -Alston, his grandmother Dorothy Mock. His siblings, Gregory Mock (Emonie Jones), Tiffany James (Watson) and Steffon Davis all of Springfield MA. He leaves a legacy in his sons, Jayden Mock (Mom, Michelle Torres a special friend) and Chase Rodriguez (Mom, Jennifer Rodriguez). Along with a multitude of cousins, aunts, uncles, and friends to celebrate the life he lived.
The "walk-thru" wake will be held on Thursday at Harrell Funeral Home from 10-11 a.m. The Public is invited. The funeral will be private.
