Lester Brace Obituary

Lester Clayton Brace, 75, of Reed Street, Springfield passed away on Monday, July 26, 2021 at Baystate Medical Center. Lester was born on November 30, 1945 in Springfield, Massachusetts, the son of Jeffrey Brace Sr. and Hazel (Overton) Brace.

He remained a lifelong Springfield resident, graduating from Springfield schools and worked as a counselor in a rehabilitation center for many years. He leaves his daughter Leslie Brace, two brothers Ronald Brace Sr. and Jeffrey Brace Jr., two sisters Shirley Barklow and Marilyn Thomas all of Springfield, a niece Lounette Williams, and great-niece Ahmana Givan ; nine grandchildren Kenneth Anderson, Zettie Green, Willie Green, Davon Franklin, Jason Brown, Malcolm Brace, Kiya Brown, Ajavon Jackson, and Leslie Jackson, 20 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends to cherish his memory.

Lester was predeceased by his parents, sisters Janice Jackson, Carol Moore and Carolyn Harper and a grandchild An'tesha Brown. Services were private.
