Lewis Harold Wright Sr., 76, of Tributary Lane, Windsor, Connecticut, was peacefully sent home on Friday, February 18, 2022, at CareOne Redstone Nursing Home in East Longmeadow, Massachusetts.
Born in Youngstown, Ohio, he was a son of the late James Arthur Wright and the late Pattie Mae Wright. Mr. Wright served as a sergeant in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War and later was employed as a facilities manager by United Technologies (Hamilton Sundstrand), where he retired after 40 years. He was a member of Suez Temple of Shriners #114 for many years and enjoyed spending time with his family, watching his grandchildren play baseball, traveling, and watching his favorite sports teams: The New York Yankees, Miami Dolphins, and Ohio State Buckeyes Football.
He is survived by a daughter, Angela Faulkner (and Tony) of Springfield, Massachusetts; a son, Lewis H. Wright Jr. of Holyoke, Massachusetts; two grandsons, Rashaun Faulkner of Boston, Massachusetts and Trey Faulkner of Springfield; a host of other relatives; and many friends.
There will be a public viewing from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Tuesday, March 22, 2022, at Harrell Funeral Home, followed by interment at the Massachusetts Veterans’ Memorial Cemetery in Agawam.
