Obituary

  Lois (Cameron) Cole, 74, of Springfield, Massachusetts, passed away peacefully, on July 9, 2022, at Baystate Medical Center, in Springfield. Born in Sanford, North Carolina, Lois was a daughter of William Murchison and Dessie Mae (Cameron) Murchison. 

  Lois lived in Springfield for the past 45 years.  She had been employed as a cook at a nursing home.   She was a member of Friendship Missionary Baptist Church.

  Pre-deceased by her father and a son, Kevin Tucker, she is survived by her mother;  two daughters,. Sandra Matthews and Tracy (and David) Stoke;  a step-daughter, Regina Cole;  a brother, Ron (and Ivy) Murchison;  a sister, Vicky (and David) Belk;  a special granddaughter, Lakresha Wallace;  11 other grandchildren;  21 great-grandchildren;  one great-great-grandchild;  and a host of other relatives and friends.

 

The calling hour is 10-11 a.m. Thursday at Friendship Missionary Baptist Church, 68 Church Street in Springfield, followed by funeral services at 11 a.m., with burial in Oak Grove Cemetery.
